A word from our team
Recruitment hasn’t slowed down yet, as the vacancies are published on average a month before their closing date. The slowdown will happen in August, as July is when the EU civil service goes into summer mode. 🏖️
One of the many cool perks of a civil servant working for the EU is the inevitable summer slow-down. With the schools closed, many bureaucrats take the opportunity to visit their home countries or explore the old continent. The EU civil service noticeably slows down.
We have observed some colleagues to be lounging pool-side and occasionally checking Outlook, whilst professing to “work from their home” in Greece. In the spirit of the summer and these lazies, the nextEUjob is taking it easy this week 🌞
