The European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) is recruiting a Facility Management Assistant (Contract Agent FG III) based in Malta. The position offers advantageous consideration for candidates with experience in drafting work instructions/manuals/policies, working in international environments, and holding relevant certifications in public procurement, hospitality management, business, public administration, law, or contract management. The role involves supervising facility management contracts, maintaining automated systems, and preparing tenders. Applications must be submitted through the EUAA's e-Recruitment tool by 2 December 2025 at 12:00 pm (Malta time).

European Parliament groups — despite being more polarized than ever — agree that plenary debates have become dull and want major changes to make them livelier. Their proposals include tougher, more interactive questioning of commissioners, new debate formats that force real confrontation between political groups, and measures to reduce empty seats by boosting attendance and limiting side events. While many ideas focus on improving scrutiny and spontaneity, parties stopped short of suggesting sanctions to make MEPs actually show up.
