🥼 The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) is inviting applications for Research Fellow positions, offering researchers the opportunity to contribute scientific expertise directly to EU policymaking in a dynamic, international environment. Advantageous requirements include a doctoral degree or at least five years of post-graduate research experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work at the science–policy interface. The call is open on a continuous basis with no fixed deadline, and applications are encouraged as early as possible.

📶 For everyone who lives in Brussels and takes public transport around the EU-city, escalators have been a huge problem for years now ☹️ Brussels' 565 escalators break down about 200 times daily, though most can be restarted remotely within minutes. The main culprits are safety mechanisms that auto-stop when detecting risks, aging infrastructure (many from 1969), passenger misuse with heavy objects, and vandalism. Brussels Times wrote a detailed article on this very EU-bubble topic recently.
